The first FIFA-sanctioned tournament for Southeast Asia, with its Premier Division hosted by Indonesia in Jakarta and Bandung during the September FIFA window.
The FIFA ASEAN Cup is a new competition sanctioned by FIFA for the national teams of Southeast Asia and invited guests, and unlike the region's older championship it is played inside the official FIFA international window. Indonesia hosts the inaugural Premier Division from 24 September to 5 October 2026 at Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta and Si Jalak Harupat in Bandung, while Hong Kong stages the Challenge Division. Eight teams play in two groups; Timnas Garuda meet Malaysia, Singapore and Bangladesh in Group A. The next edition is scheduled for 2028.
